Valentine's Day (or Saint Valentine's Day) is observed on February 14 each year. Today Valentine's Day is celebrated in many countries around the world, mostly in the West, although it remains a working day in all of them. The original "St. Valentine" was just a liturgical celebration of one or more early Christian saint named Valentinus. All the modern romantic connotations were added several centuries later by poets. The day first became associated with romantic love in the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer in the High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished. By the 15th century, it had evolved into an occasion in which lovers expressed their love for each other by presenting flowers, offering confectionery, and sending greeting cards (known as "valentines"). Modern Valentine's Day symbols include the heart-shaped outline, doves, and the figure of the winged Cupid. Since the 19th century, handwritten valentines have given way to mass-produced greeting cards.

PEANUT BUTTER BANANA & BACON SANDWICH

Ingredients :

2 tablespoon of warm softened Butter

2 slices White Bread

Peanut Butter

1 Banana

1 tablespoon Honey

2 to 3 slices of Bacon, cooked to the way you like it

Spread one side of each of the slices of bread with 1/2 the butter, completely covering with the butter.

Spread a liberal amount of Peanut Butter on the opposite side of each slice of bread

Cut the Banana in half and cut one half into slices. Save the other half for later.

Place banana slices on one slice of bread with peanut butter. Drizzle the Honey over the Bananas.

Add slices of cooked Bacon on top of Bananas.

Top with the other slice of peanut buttered bread.

Place the remaining butter in a frying pan and turn heat on to medium.

Place the sandwich in the frying pan, and cook over medium-low heat until the bread is golden brown. Be careful not to burn.

Turn the sandwich over and cook the other side of the sandwich until lightly golden brown. 

Turn heat off and remove sandwich from pan. Cut in half on the diagonal, and serve.

Mick Jagger and Keith Richards meet-up, then walk over to the St Mark's Bar & Grill on the corner of St Marks Place and 1st Avenue. Inside the Bar, Mick & Keef get together with the remaining Rolling Stones band members: Ron Wood, Charlie Watts, and Bill Wyman. The boys have some beers and cocktails and finish playing the song Waiting on a Friend on stage at the Saint Marks Bar & Grill. Bravo Boys! This is a wonderful Feel Good Song, and you guys made a great music video to go along. Job Well Done.

The Feast of the Seven Fishes is part of the Italian-American Christmas Eve celebration, although it is not called that in Italy and is not a “feast” in the sense of “holiday,” but rather a grand meal. The name The Feast of The  Seven Fishes came about in American by Italian-Americans, not in Italy, were although Southern Italians celebrate a Christmas Meal of Fish, in Italy, it is called : La Cena della Vigilia (Eve Dinner), Il Cenone (The Big Dinner),  La Vigilia di Natale (Christmas Eve), or simply La Vigilia (The Vigil).

While the tradition comes from Southern Italy, many from the region have never heard of the Feast of Seven Fishes. Italians call it by another name, La Vigilia (The Vigil), as it takes place on Christmas Eve, or the Vigilia di Natale. The practice of eating fish on Christmas Eve stems from a traditional Catholic custom of abstaining from meat on the eve of a feast day.

It is also unclear when the number seven was landed on. In the Italian tradition they don’t count how many fishes are used, or how many dishes they create. Even in America it is not unusual to see the spread feature up to 13 varieties fish and shell fish.

While some sources suggest restaurants developed the tradition of Seven Fishes, it is fitting for the occasion, as the number 7 is an important to Catholicism, signifying totality of perfection and completeness. Seven is mentioned over 700 times in the Bible and it is seen in the number of the days of the week, the Sacraments, and many of the signs in the Book of Revelation: seven churches, seven bowls, seven seals, seven trumpets, seven thunders and seven spirits.
